More First Time Buyers in Summer 2009
I’ve been talking with a lot of New Buyers who are thinking of jumping into the Twin Cities Housing Market. They are excited about the low prices, low interest rates, and want to get into the market while it’s favorable for buyers.
Well, that time is now. If you continue to wait to get educated and start looking for homes until the summertime, you’ll be too late. Once everyone else jumps on the bandwagon, we’re going to have a tone of Multiple Offers and housing prices will go up slightly, if only for a while.
What does this mean for you, if you’re just thinking about buying a home? It means you need to start the process if you’re serious about home ownership.
- Attend a First Time Buyer Class
- Get Pre-Approved with a Loan Officer
- Meet with a Realtor about your search and time frame
- Start Looking at Homes
- Find the Right One
- Make an Offer
- Assemble Closing Documents
- Close and Move in!!
This is of course a very abbreviated list, but one that you should start nonetheless.
It’s inevitable that housing activity goes up once the weather gets warmed in Minnesota. Don’t get caught up in the hype and get out bid on a house. If you wait for the masses you’ll be one of the masses trying to buy one of the nicer homes.
If you haven’t met with a Realtor and don’t know why you should use one, come to our First Time Buyer’s Seminars and learn a ton of information in a low-pressure atmosphere.
