Homes for HeroesThroughout the Twin Cities Area you can find a lot of different Home Buying Programs and Grants to help fix up properties or afford a down payment amount.

Some of these programs are just for First Time Home Buyers, and some are for certain types of properties or targeted areas in the city.

In St. Paul, they have rolled out what they call “Homes for Heroes” which basically gives help to people who have given back to the community in their line of work.

Military, Police, Firefighters, Healthcare practitioners, Teachers, and Government workers are just some of the positions that are eligible for this help.  The Assistance comes in the form of up to $15,000 of a no interest loan to go towards down payment or closing costs when buying a house in St. Paul MN.
